Wednesday, June 8th, 2005Mga isang buwan na ang nakakalipas noong kumain ako sa Wendy’s ng Zesty Garlic Chicken Sandwich. Yung mga nakabasa ng ipinoste ko sa bulletin board e alam na ang kwentong ito.
Oras ng meryenda noon kaya hindi mabigat sana ang kakainin ko. Ang lagi kong inoorder pag ganun e yung bente pesos na salad. HIndi na masama, di ba?
E heto, meron pala silang bagong produkto -ng Zesty Garlic Chicken Sandwich. Anaknamputa, hindi zesty, hindi rin chicken. FRIED BREADCRUMBS SANDWICH. Yon ang tamang tawag doon. Imajinin mo ang breadcrumbs, prituhin mo at ipalaman sa pagitan ng tinapay. Iyon ang Zesty Garlic Chicken Sandwich ng Wendy’s. Malaking kagaguhan.
Ngayon, ako ang taong laging sumusulat sa mga comments and suggestions sa mga kinakainan ko. Yung pagpapalaki ng Wendy’s ng kanilang burgers(at pagtaas ng presyo) e isa sa mga suggestions ko. Hindi ko sinasabing ako lang ang nakapuna at sumulat tungkol sa pagliit ng kanilang mga burgers. Meron pa sigurong iba. Ang punto ko, lagi akong nagkukumento sa kanila.
Nag-email ako ng dalawang beses, sumubok na tumawag, at nagsulat sa comments-suggestions nila para ipadama ang kabwisitan ko sa pagkain nila. Hindi ako makatulog ng ilang linggo dahil hindi nila ako sinasagot.
Kanina nabuksan kong e-mail ko’t nalamang sumagot na pala sila. Ito ang ang kanilang mensahe.

Again, we would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for taking time to send us your feedback. We are constantly evaluating and improving our products. Thank you for your concern for our brand. We value the chance of serving you but if the product, Zesty Garlic Chicken, is not up to par with your excellent standards, we would like to offer you other sandwiches such as our Chicken Fillet and Spicy Chicken Fillet Sandwiches available on the menu.

Subject: fried breadcrumbs sandwich or what you call zesty garlic chicken sandwich
Last week, I sent you a letter regarding your new product Zesty Garlic Chicken Sandwich but received no reply regarding the matter. This is very disappointing. I expect Wendy’s to value customers’ comments and views. I see it as an irresponsible way of handling customer’s complaints. Enough of that, I’m not going to weep on my pillows over this.
But let’s not forget about your new product. It is very uncharacteristic of Wendy’s to come up with such a lousy sandwich. It’s not even fit to be sold at Burger Machine. It’s not even fir to be minced to smaller bits and be sold to Pedigree. It’s not even fit for mongrel’s consumption.
The product isn’t zesty and it’s not chicken. You know what it is? FRIED BREADCRUMBS SANDWICH –that’s what? I’d rather see my sister in a brothel than see her eat that crap.
We’re talking about Wendy’s here, not some inferior brand names like Jollibee or Burger Machine. Wendy’s is not just a name –it’s a promise, a guarantee of tasty burgers and sandwiches. What happened? The KFC Chicken Fillet? Is that it? You’re missing by miles what you’re aiming for. Zesty Garlic Chicken Sandwich…. Let’s see you serve this to your kid’s birthday party. He’d be ostracized by his friends, playmates and classmates for the rest of his life if you did.
Do something about it. This product is a stain to Wendy’s brand name. Shape it up or ship it out.
Ibig sabihin ibebenta pa rin nila ang walang kwentang sandwich na yun dahil sa aking "excellent standards" daw hindi pumasa. Ibig sabihin merong ibang kumakain nun? Ugh. Mas mamatamisin ko pang pakainin ng buhangin ang kaibigan ko kesa pakainin nun.

Thursday, June 2nd, 2005A group of young male students ran naked around a crowded Manila university block near the presidential palace Wednesday, saying they wanted to “bare the government’s shortcomings” in education funding.
The 15 activists, mostly in their 20s and some with “Education for all” written on their bodies in red paint, snarled traffic and drew giggles from passing females.
At one point, they attempted to cross a barricade on a street leading to the palace, but were stopped by riot police who forced them to briefly parade covered only with caps and dark glasses in the middle of a traffic-choked road.
They also lay down on the scorching road, some spreading their legs, before a throng of photographers and TV cameramen.
“We are here not to show our bodies but to bare the government’s shortcomings,” said Leonardo delos Reyes, spokesman of the United Youth Alliance.
“I have come to realize the shortcomings of our government’s education funding. The size of their genitals is a good metaphor that symbolizes how much fund we allocate in our education. This is one form of protest that I’ve come to understand easily. In the past there were hungry strikes, flag-burning, etc. but sad to say, I didn’t get their idea. We’ll look into this matter and… wait, put it on pause, that’s the guy with the mole in the…” President Gloria Arroyo said in an interview.
They raised placards condemning shortages in the education budget that have caused standards to deteriorate and the thriving of soap operas and kept millions of young Filipinos out of school because of a lack of facilities. Reyes said the government was appropriating twice as much money to pay off its huge foreign debt than for education.
“To use the metaphor, we are spending a porn star’s genitals to pay foreign debts while we fund education with the size of those students’,” he further added.

Noong panahong kasagsagan ng mga rock n’ roll na mga banda, gustong ipagbawal ang kantang Alapaap ng Eraserheads. Ngayon eto and isang kalinaw-linaw na nagsasabing gumamit ka ng bato, pero wala namang nagrereklamo. Ilang eksena na meron ang Darna na naghahanap ng bato si Narda?
